About The Position
As a Laundry Aide at Diablo Valley Post Acute, you will perform a variety of general laundry and housekeeping duties to provide high-quality laundry services and maintain a sanitary environment free from offensive odors for our nursing home residents.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining cleanliness and sanitation.
Nice To Haves
- Previous laundry experience in a healthcare or similar setting is a plus, but not required.
Responsibilities
- Ensure an adequate supply of clean linens is available for the care and comfort of all residents.
- Maintain all linen in good repair, removing any items with holes and/or stains from service.
- Collect laundry from residents on a daily basis or as needed.
- Label clothing items for new residents as required.
- Sort, treat, wash, dry, and fold clothing and linens.
- Deliver clean laundry items to residents' rooms.
- Follow all sanitary processes and procedures related to laundry duties.
- Maintain an inventory of laundry supplies.
- Use all laundry equipment and supplies safely and responsibly.
- Report any laundry equipment issues to the Administrator.
