SAIC is seeking a Launch Communication System Engineer to provide engineering and requirements integration services to the Service Coordination Cell Launch (SCCL) director. Responsibilities include defining mission-unique requirements, tracking requirements implementation, identifying risks, and proposing risk mitigation strategies. Represents SCCL at various service delivery and operations boards, technical forums, and readiness review teams. Specifics of Primary Duties: Serves as the primary technical advisor to the SCCL director. Assists in production, review and delivery of launch requirements and operations support government policies between SCCL and mission partner organizations. Performs technical requirements reviews and assessments for the SCCL director; enables tracing, reporting, and implementation status in support of critical launch operations. Tracks and reports service communications outages/issues providing situational awareness to SCCL leadership; attends Major Incident, Problem and Change Management Boards to assess and provide operational impacts to launch operations. Represents SCCL as primary point of contact for Readiness Review Teams for each launch mission; monitors/tracks launch requirements processing, advises management on implementation schedules or issues; identifies risks and proposes mitigation strategies. Monitors service contract performance; assists contracts' program management offices to close contract service needs.
