This role is part of Blue Origin Operations, which is comprised of Integrated Supply Chain, Test Operations, Safety, Quality, and Mission Assurance. This includes Manufacturing and Supply Chain support across all Blue Origin facilities. We are seeking dynamic Manufacturing Engineers to join our Operations team at Blue Origin. This role will lead the design and implementation of efficient manufacturing systems, ensure stringent quality control throughout production, and optimize supply chain logistics specific to Production/Operations. The ideal candidate will be results-driven, skilled in resource management, and committed to high-quality standards. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline operations, reduce costs, and enhance production timelines. Leveraging advanced technologies and methodologies, you will contribute to improving manufacturing techniques, ensuring Blue Origin’s continued innovation and excellence in aerospace engineering. Position Specific Details: Shifts: A | Mon-Thurs (6am-4:30pm), B | Mon-Thurs (2pm-12:30am), C | Fri-Sun (6am-6:30pm), D | Fri-Sun (6pm - 6:30am) Location: Space Coast, FL Relocation: Available Team Focus & Domain Expertise As a Launch Ops Manufacturing Engineer, you’ll help drive the rate and reliability of New Glenn’s critical launch infrastructure – including our massive Transporter/Erector, LC‑36 Launch Pad, Mobile Test Stand, and specialized test facilities. This team doesn’t just maintain hardware; we continuously reinvent it to enable a step‑change in launch cadence and reliability. You’ll bring (and grow) technical depth in one or more of: cryogenics, pneumatics, hydraulics, mechanical systems and large structures, electronics and transducers, PLCs, and/or software. Your curiosity and ability to quickly learn across disciplines will be your superpower as you become a true subject matter expert on your systems and use that insight to drive meaningful innovation. Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Electrical, or Aerospace Engineering (other relevant fields may apply) from an accredited university Ex perience Levels with m anufacturing, industrial, or process engineering. (0-3 years Level I Engineer, 3+ Level II Engineer, 5+ Level III Engineer, 8+ SR Level Engineer)
  • 1+ years of experience creating English work instructions
  • Must be able to work second shift and have flexibility to move shifts as needed.
  • Open to work extended hours if required.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in high-rate assembly lines for aerospace and/or automotive is preferred
  • Understanding of engineering fundamentals for mechanical design and manufacturing including working knowledge of GD&T.
  • Experience working with Bill-of-materials and BOM reconciliation
  • Prior manufacturing engineering experience in aerospace or automotive
  • Knowledge of Lean manufacturing practices & principles
  • Experience with A9100 quality standards

Responsibilities

  • Support the industrialization of new products in areas such as solar arrays, integration and test, avionics, and structures.
  • Contribute to design for manufacturability (DFM), design for assembly (DFA), design for test (DFT), key to building reliable vehicles for space exploration.
  • Translate engineering requirements into robust, repeatable manufacturing processes that support Blue Origin’s mission.
  • Collaborate closely with design engineering, quality assurance, supply chain, and production teams to accelerate building a road to space.
  • Develop and maintain manufacturing documentation, including work instructions, process flow diagrams, tool designs, and inspection plans.
  • Evaluate and implement new manufacturing technologies and methods (e.g., composites, precision machining, additive manufacturing, advanced assembly).
  • Support root cause analysis of process or product non-conformances; develop and implement corrective actions that enhance reliability and performance.
  • Ensure all work aligns with applicable quality and safety standards (AS9100, ISO 9001), supporting a safe and sustainable future in space.
  • Participate in process FMEAs, risk assessments, and validation of new production lines and equipment.
  • Identify and complete opportunities for efficiency gains and cost reduction, optimizing our ability to achieve our mission at scale.
  • Gain expertise in at least one key specialty area (solar arrays, integration and test, build flow/sequencing, avionics, structures, etc.), with the desire to deepen expertise and broaden impact.
