Orrick has an excellent opportunity for a Lateral Partner Recruiting Specialist who is ready to be challenged and build a career within an AmLaw Top 100 law firm. This position could be based in any of our following U.S. offices: Austin; Chicago; Houston; Los Angeles; Menlo Park; Orange County, Portland, Sacramento; San Francisco; Santa Monica or Seattle and consideration given for 100% remote US locations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Arts or Science or equivalent work experience preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in recruiting, preferably in a law firm or professional services environment.
  • Prior legal recruiting experience with lateral partner, associate and/or judicial clerkship recruiting is strongly preferred.
  • Experience with Zoom, Teams and applicant tracking systems, such as iCIMS or LawCruit preferred.
  • Extraordinary verbal and written communication and presentation skills are essential.
  • Demonstrated organization and time-management skills.
  • Ability to be innovative and operate in an enthusiastic manner with a broad range of professionals.
  • Demonstrated experience working both independently and harmoniously on teams.
  • Adept at handling concurrent projects and effectively prioritizing tasks in a dynamic and rapidly changing environment.
  • Willingness to work during irregular evening and weekend hours when required for time-sensitive, project-specific activities and/or during urgent situations.

Responsibilities

  • Join a top-notch team that places an emphasis on innovation, teamwork and adapting to the evolving practices of competitive legal recruiting.
  • Act as one of the primary recruiting contacts for partner candidates, guiding them through the full recruiting lifecycle, from submission to integration.
  • Provide a high-touch, white glove experience to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Work closely with Growth and Integration Team Leadership to execute on Orrick's top strategic recruiting priorities.
  • Understand Orrick's innovative vision and the Growth and Integration Team's role in realizing that vision.
  • Represent Orrick to candidates and search firms, acting as an ambassador for the firm.
  • Identify the credentials that are predictors of successful Orrick partners.
