Job Position Title: Laserweld Operator Operador de Soldadura Láser Function: Operations Location: Columbus West Job Group/Grade: JG1, H07 Position Summary/Resumen de la posición: Produce quality tubing for the Cannula department by operating equipment. Various tasks that will be assigned rotationally are Welding, Blocks, Sinks, Auto-Cut (MJR and IECO), and other tasks as necessary. Ensures compliance with BD quality systems, policies, procedures and best practices, and all local, state, federal and BD safety regulations, policies and procedures. Regular, punctual attendance is an essential job function. Ability to read and write and converse in English and/or Spanish. Willing and able to uphold BD Values. Mechanical aptitude required

Responsibilities

Responsible for meeting established production standards.
Responsible for meeting the quality requirements of the product and operating within the policies and procedures of the Quality System.
Use microscopes, pin gages and other inspection devices as necessary.
Perform basic maintenance as required to keep machines in good operational order
Use basic hand tools (allen wrenches, files, side cutters, crescent wrenches, etc.)
Other duties as required to support the needs of the business
