About The Position

Join Design Ready Fabrication as a Laser/Turret Operator! Are you ready to be part of a cutting-edge team producing high-quality metal parts? At Design Ready Fabrication, we're looking for skilled 2nd shift Laser/Turret Operator to run our laser cutting and turret punching machines with precision and care. If you thrive in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and have a passion for quality and safety, this role is for you! Mon-Thurs schedule with 3:00pm start time.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification in machining or related field preferred.
  • Minimum 2 years' experience operating laser and turret machines (Amada experience a plus).
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
  • Proficient in CNC machine operation and programming.
  • Excellent communicator with keen attention to detail and precision.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
  • Comfortable using a wide range of hand and power tools safely.
  • Ability to lift 50-85 pounds occasionally (with assistance), and stand, sit, or walk up to 10 hours per shift.
  • Proactive, quick thinker with strong problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

  • Operate and program laser cutting and turret punching machines to meet production schedules and job specs.
  • Set up equipment, load materials, and make precise machine adjustments for top-quality output.
  • Monitor machine performance and perform routine inspections and maintenance to keep things running smoothly.
  • Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, or software issues and collaborate with maintenance for complex repairs.
  • Inspect finished parts for accuracy and quality, reporting any issues immediately.
  • Follow all safety protocols, wear PPE, and help maintain a clean, hazard-free workspace.
  • Work closely with supervisors, quality teams, and fellow operators to hit production goals and share best practices.
  • Assist in training new operators and take pride in contributing to team success.
