About The Position

The Laser Print Operator will set up, adjust, operate, and troubleshoot digital laser printers. This role is essential in minimizing waste, performing laser print functions, and ensuring quality standards for laser print and finished labels are met. The operator will work on multiple printers within the assigned shift and is responsible for keeping the work order system up-to-date, helping team members meet production deadlines, and maintaining inventory levels of preprint items within the production area.

Requirements

• 2 years' previous laser print experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required.
• Strong production machine set-up, operating, and troubleshooting experience.

Nice To Haves

• Previous experience with and certification for Xerox iGen digital printers and/or Xerox DP series printers.

Responsibilities

• Minimizes waste or misuse of raw materials.
• Performs laser print functions by following daily job schedules.
• Completes different tasks on multiple printers within the assigned shift.
• Keeps the work order system up-to-date at all times.
• Ensures quality standards for laser print and finished labels are being met.
• Helps the other members of the team meet production deadlines.
• Places service calls with Xerox for the DP135 and 5252 printers.
• Keeps accurate records of jobs printed within the log book on the printer.
• Performs distribution functions when needed.
• Maintains the inventory levels of preprint items within the production area.
