About The Position

SUMMARY: Operate the CNC table laser cutting machine and perform other miscellaneous tasks as supervision deems necessary.

• Lifting more than 50 lbs. is performed by two employees or mechanical assistance is required.

Responsibilities

• Loads and unloads raw materials from the laser table bed with a forklift or hoist.
• Selects proper cutting programs and fixtures.
• Selects and sets up lenses based on material type and thickness.
• Loads programs and sets machine parameters to ensure optimal performance of the equipment.
• Establishes proper stop location and adjusts laser beam focal point.
• Makes proper set-ups for cutting operations.
• Performs all dimensional inspections.
• Detects and reports defective materials or questionable conditions.
• Performs Autonomous Maintenance as outlined for the machine.
• Completes all weekly, daily and monthly 5S tasks.
