The position involves performing typical laser cutting operations during the second shift, which runs from 3:30 pm to 12:00 am. The role requires selecting the proper cutting programs and fixtures, documenting material usage, and recording any deviations. Additionally, the individual will establish the proper stop location and adjust the laser beam focal point, make necessary set-ups for cutting operations, and perform prescribed maintenance as required. Dimensional inspections are also a key responsibility, along with detecting and reporting defective materials or questionable conditions to the department supervisor. The position may require working at different workstations as production needs dictate.
