The position involves the set-up and operation of CNC Laser and other production machines, including lathes and mills. The candidate will be responsible for understanding and problem-solving any issues that may arise with machinery and/or material. The role requires working with a variety of measuring and inspection devices, hand tools, and the ability to identify different types and thicknesses of materials. The candidate must be able to utilize various inspection tools such as calipers, mics, overlays, and pin gauges. Attention to detail is crucial, as is the ability to handle multiple tasks effectively under deadline pressures while following directions and completing assignments accurately and on time. Proficiency in computer skills, including Microsoft Word and Excel, is also required. The candidate will need to plan and perform difficult work processes and interact and communicate professionally and effectively with all levels of employees. Scheduling and organizing time and tasks effectively is essential, as is the ability to work in a challenging and schedule-driven environment. The candidate will learn and adhere to required safety and housekeeping standards and practices and perform other duties as assigned. A background in the aerospace industry is preferred.
