About The Position

The Laser Drill Operator operates one or more NC machines simultaneously to perform various drilling processes including drilling low tolerance holes in PCB panels. Independently performs complex and standard machine setups involving loading NC programs, aligning panels, visually inspecting panels, and making the required adjustment in accordance with Traveler information and Standard Operating Procedures.

Requirements

3 years of experience in the printed circuit board industry
Ability to read and interpret documents including standard operating procedures, instructions and safety rules in English
Must be able to read and understand handheld measuring devices
Ability to solve problems and communicate effectively
Detail-oriented and self-motivated
Ability to adapt to fast-changing work environment
Flexibility to work overtime as needed
High School Diploma or GED

Nice To Haves

1-2 years of related experience using NC Drilling machine (Preferred)

Responsibilities

Set up, operate, and maintain laser drilling machine
Make set-up decisions which conform to customer specifications
Plan sequence of operations and review blueprints to ensure precision
Establish proper stop location, adjust laser beam focal point
Make proper setups for cutting operations
Maintains drill machine and tools
Detect and report defective materials to the department team leader
Perform prescribed maintenance of machine as required
Perform other duties as required
