A day in the life of a Large Loss Field Property Adjuster, and what it takes to do the job! As a Large Loss Field Property Adjuster, you will provide exceptional service to our policyholders. Your primary responsibility will involve traveling to our customers' homes to conduct on-site inspections, investigate coverage, prepare estimates, and settle claims promptly and efficiently. Additionally, you will handle virtual claims countrywide, leveraging various platforms and software such as Xactimate and ClaimsX Video Collaboration. Your expertise will be particularly focused on water losses, ensuring our customers receive the highest level of support and resolution for these specific claims.

Responsibilities

  • Travel to customers' homes to conduct on-site inspections.
  • Investigate coverage and prepare estimates for claims.
  • Handle virtual claims using various platforms and software.
  • Provide exceptional customer service and support.
  • Negotiate claims settlements with customers and vendors.
  • Maintain clear records of work in a claims system.
  • Utilize multiple tools to expedite claims settlements.

Requirements

  • 4 years’ previous experience as an outside adjuster.
  • Experience handling claims with multiple trades and over $100,000 in losses.
  • Proficiency in using Xactimate and other relevant software for estimating.
  • Strong critical thinking and technical skills to assess damages accurately.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to travel to customers' homes and handle virtual claims.
  • Detail-oriented and organized.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in handling water loss claims.
  • Familiarity with claims negotiation tactics.
