About The Position
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES · Prepare material (Flag) · Measure and cut the fabric to proper specifications. Separate materials according to size, type, etc. Use an electric pallet jack to transport material carts to the platform Assembles the material to produce or finish products from raw materials Transport items to work or storage areas, using carts. Trim excess material or cut threads off finished products, such as cutting loose ends Enter job orders into Made 2 Manage when finished with job. Responsible for safety and good housekeeping practices around work areas. Notify supervisor of any mechanical or material issues. Observe all safety rules Other duties as assigned
Requirements
- Ability to read and interpret patterns
- Finger, hand and arm steadiness to reach for hold, grab, push/pull, and handle material repetitively with high degree of dexterity.
- Read work orders to determine dimensions and quantities to cut
- Familiarity with fabrics
- Ability to unroll, lay out, attach fabric materials on cutting tables
- Physical dexterity and stamina to sit for long periods
- Reaching, stretching, pulling across a workspace to access to tools or materials
- Ability to lift, move, push and pull fabric and carts to transport fabric of varying weights
- Attention to detail and accuracy in measuring, cutting, and inspecting fabric
- Time management skills to meet production deadlines & production efficiency %
- Flexibility and adaptability to work with changing production schedules and priorities
- Teamwork and collaboration skills to contribute to a positive work environment
- Ability to accept direction and constructive criticism
- Maintain consistent attendance and punctuality
