About The Position

Allied Printing Services is a family-run, full-service commercial and financial printer that has been leading the industry since 1949. They offer advanced sheetfed, web, large format, and digital press capabilities, alongside New England’s largest bindery/finishing operation. The Large Format Print Operator is responsible for producing high-quality graphics, signage, and display materials using large format print equipment. This role involves operating and maintaining flatbed and roll-to-roll UV inkjet printers to ensure prints meet precise specifications.

Requirements

  • Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
  • Ability to read, interpret, and follow detailed job tickets and production instructions.
  • Keen attention to detail with a commitment to quality and color accuracy.
  • Basic computer proficiency and ability to record production data accurately.
  • Excellent time-management and organizational skills to handle multiple priorities.
  • Team-oriented mindset and clear communication skills.
  • Desire to grow within a fast-paced, collaborative print environment.
  • High School diploma or equivalent.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience operating large format digital presses (flatbed and roll-to-roll preferred).
  • 2–4 years of experience operating large format printers or related digital printing equipment preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Operate flatbed and roll-to-roll large format UV inkjet printers to produce high-quality graphics, signage, and materials.
  • Accurately record production time, materials, and job details in the data system.
  • Laminate, trim, cut, and package printed materials according to production requirements.
  • Inspect printed output for color accuracy, defects, and overall quality, making adjustments as needed.
  • Perform preventive maintenance on large format printing equipment to maintain optimal performance.
  • Troubleshoot mechanical or print-related issues to minimize production downtime.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area to support efficient workflow and production standards.
  • Communicate production updates, issues, or material needs with supervisors and team members.
