About The Position

The position involves ensuring that both internal and external customer expectations regarding turn-around time and quality are met in a fast-paced digital print environment. The role requires a focus on quality control, efficiency, and the preparation of electronic art files, ensuring that digital art and graphic elements are complete and compatible with prepress and RIP processes.

Responsibilities

• Quality Control - # of rejected pieces
• Efficiency - # of pieces completed per hour
• Preparing or creating electronic art files
• Ensuring the digital art and graphic elements are complete, consistent, and compatible with the prepress & RIP processes
• Creating layout for customer approval and coordination of job package for production
• Ripping files for digital print on large / grand format printers
• Creating and reviewing proofs and monitoring quality during production
• Performing color calibrations, daily equipment maintenance and restocking
• Performing basic color management tasks and operating digital presses to expected production standards
• Maintaining assigned documentation and schedules
• Regular attendance and the ability to work overtime on short notice
• Input labor hours into Shop-Trak time keeping system
• Use safety equipment and protective clothing as directed
• Accurately enters time and job information into the Shop-Trak Collection System
• Operate standard office equipment including copy machine
• Carries out conduct in accordance with all company policies, procedures, safety and applicable laws
