About The Position

As a Large Casualty, Regional Underwriting Manager, you will be the driving force behind underwriting and servicing multi-line large deductible accounts within your assigned territory. You’ll be responsible for producing new business, retaining renewals, and managing broker and client relationships that directly impact profitability and revenue growth. With a sharp analytical approach, you will evaluate exposures, analyze loss histories, and collaborate with departments like Actuarial, Claims, Legal, and Risk Services to deliver exceptional underwriting solutions. You will present compelling business cases to brokers, champion Safety National’s underwriting capabilities, and act as the face of the Casualty Underwriting Group in the field. You’ll also participate in agency management, conventions, and mentoring of junior underwriters. Your strategic thinking, strong negotiation skills, and ability to lead with data will be essential as you help us capture and retain targeted accounts.

Requirements

  • A bachelor's degree or equivalent experience is required; a degree in a related field is preferred.
  • Must be presently authorized to work in the U.S. without a requirement for work authorization sponsorship by our company for this position now or in the future
  • This position allows for a hybrid work schedule which includes a minimum of 3 days per week in our Dallas Office, located at 5050 Quorum Drive, Suite 410 Dallas, TX 75254. All employees are required to submit work from home requests and follow our Work From Home policy, which will be provided to all candidates selected to interview.
  • 5 or more years of experience in large deductible/national account underwriting and sales
  • Protect the confidentiality, integrity and availability of information and technology assets against unauthorized disclosure, destruction and/or alteration, in accordance with Safety National policies, standards, and procedures.
