About The Position

Worthington Samuel Coil Processing (WSCP), a joint venture of Worthington Steel, is looking to add a Large Cab Crane Operator to its Night Shift team(5:45PM-6AM) in Twinsburg, OH. In this role you will operate an overhead inside open‑cab crane at height to move material onto the production line, into storage, and onto trucks. This role requires attention to detail, safe work practices, and comfort working above ground level. This is an entry level position! We have on the job training, no experience required. Requirements

  • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
  • Basic computer/data entry skills
  • Strong commitment to safety and reliability
  • Ability to climb stairs and access elevated platforms to reach the crane cab
  • Comfortable working at heights in an open cab
  • Ability to sit for extended periods while operating the crane
  • Good depth perception, peripheral vision, and distance vision
  • Strong hand–eye coordination and ability to use both hands for controls
  • Able to communicate clearly with floor personnel
  • Ability to work in a noisy, hot industrial environment while wearing PPE

Nice To Haves

  • Previous large cab overhead crane or heavy equipment operation, a plus but not required

Responsibilities

  • Operate an overhead open‑cab crane to move coils and finished material
  • Complete crane checklist and scale verification at start of shift
  • Load black coils for production and unload finished coils to designated areas
  • Record coil weights, locations, and relocations (basic data entry)
  • Coordinate with floor staff to retrieve and load coils for shipment
  • Prepare scrap boxes and weigh coils for upcoming shifts
  • Report non‑conforming material and stop production when needed
  • Maintain housekeeping in the crane and follow all safety procedures
  • Other duties to support production & shipping team, as needed
