As a member of our nursing staff, you will play an instrumental role in instructing veterinary students in technical skills and performing medical treatments and procedures as directed by our veterinarians. We also offer excellent health insurance with HMO and PPO options. Additionally, there are generous shift differentials in addition to base rate of pay. Certification or licensure as a veterinary technician is preferred, but not required. Typically schedules consist of working five 8-hour shifts or four 10-hour shifts per workweek. Will be assigned to a primary shift, generally: Day shift, Evening shift, or Night Shift. Reassignment to a different primary shift, rotating shifts, split shifts, and extended shifts may be required and assigned depending on hospital needs. Assigned days may vary Sunday through Saturday, weekends and holidays included. This position also requires working alternate shifts, holidays, weekends, or “on-call duty.” This position and is considered essential personnel which may include reporting to work during Main Campus closures. This position requires a post- offer health assessment.
