LANIER TECHNICAL COLLEGE - PART TIME ALLIED HEALTH/NURSE AIDE LABORATORY ASSISTANT - Different Campus Locations Available

About the position

Lanier Technical College is gearing up for increased student enrollment for both Summer Semester (beginning May 19th) and Fall Semester (beginning August 11th). We are conducting a search for a part-time, non-benefits eligible, FLSA-exempt position for an Allied Health/Nurse Aide Laboratory Assistant. This position will be available at different campus locations and will report to the Allied Health Division Chair. The target start dates are May 19th, 2025, for the Summer Semester and August 11th, 2025, for the Fall Semester. The hourly rate ranges from $16.00 to $26.00 per hour, depending on credentials, with a maximum of 29 hours per week.

Responsibilities

• Assist faculty members with classroom instruction, exams, record keeping, adherence to safety procedures, tracking attendance and other miscellaneous tasks related to instruction.
• Tutor or mentor students.
• Perform laboratory maintenance.
• Clean labs as needed.
• Obtain materials needed for classes, including texts and other materials.

Requirements

• Completion of a Nursing Fundamental course or a Medical Assisting Skills I course from a postsecondary college or university.
• Ability to work at multiple campus locations as needed.

Nice-to-haves

• Successful completion of Nurse Aide Certification, Medical Assistant Diploma or higher from a postsecondary college or university.
