About The Position

Lanier Technical College is conducting a search for a part-time, non-benefits eligible, FLSA-exempt position for an Adjunct 'Introduction to Computers' Instructor at the Forsyth Campus. The position reports to the Dean of Business, Public Safety and Professional Services. A background check is part of the selection process.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Business Education, Computer Science, Information Technology, or Occupational Studies from a regionally accredited college or university.
• Demonstrated competencies in word processing, databases, spreadsheets, electronic mail, and presentations.
• Minimum of three years appropriate work experience.

Nice To Haves

• Teaching experience at a postsecondary level.
• Experience in teaching online classes.
• Microsoft Office Specialist certifications.

Responsibilities

• Provides professional instruction based on approved course syllabus.
• Prepares curriculum and syllabus for coursework taught.
• Delivers classes in online, virtual, and face-to-face formats.
• Evaluates students' progress in attaining goals and objectives.
• Administers and grades class examinations.
• Maintains records of student grades.
• Attends in-service training, workshops, and seminars as needed.
• Ensures safety and security requirements are met in the training areas.
• Meets all required deadlines and mandatory training.
• Meets with students, staff members, and supervisors as needed.
