About The Position

The Design Build Operations Manager oversees the planning, execution, and successful completion of landscape construction projects. This role involves managing budgets, schedules, jobsite resources, and personnel while ensuring that projects meet client expectations and company standards. The Project Manager serves as the primary point of contact for clients, suppliers, and team members throughout the project lifecycle. Out of town travel may be required.

Requirements

  • 3–5 years' experience in landscape installation
  • Experience managing large-scale residential, commercial, or municipal projects
  • Strong knowledge of landscape construction, hardscaping, and horticulture
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Strong leadership and team management skills
  • Excellent communication and client service abilities
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills
  • High attention to detail and quality control
  • Ability to solve problems under pressure
  • Valid Driver's License (Required)
  • MN DOT Medical Card (Required)

Nice To Haves

  • Degree in Landscape Architecture, Horticulture, Construction Management, or related field preferred , OR 5+ years of relevant experience
  • Certification in Landscape Management or Construction (e.g., CLM, CLT, or similar) preferred.
  • OSHA Safety Certification or similar preferred

Responsibilities

  • Attend project review meetings and collaborate with Designers and Project Foremen
  • Develop and manage project timelines, budgets, and resource plans
  • Oversee site preparation, hardscaping, softscaping, irrigation, and sod installations
  • Coordinate materials, trucking, dumpsters, and equipment logistics
  • Manage and process change orders in a timely manner
  • Monitor project progress to ensure schedule adherence
  • Supervise and lead landscape crews and foremen
  • Assign responsibilities and manage crew schedules
  • Conduct regular site visits to ensure quality and safety compliance
  • Provide coaching and support to team members
  • Serve as primary point of contact for clients
  • Provide regular project updates and progress reports
  • Coordinate with vendors and subcontractors to ensure timely material delivery
  • Address client concerns professionally and proactively
  • Monitor labor hours, overtime, and material usage
  • Ensure projects stay within approved budgets
  • Identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality
  • Track profitability and project margins
  • Conduct pre-, mid-, and post-project inspections
  • Complete punch lists and required documentation
  • Ensure adherence to company standards and local regulations
  • Maintain safety compliance on all job sites
  • Anticipate project risks and develop mitigation strategies
  • Resolve unexpected site conditions, weather delays, or supply challenges
  • Meet with subcontractors as needed to keep projects on track
