About The Position

A Landscaping Licensed Irrigation Technician is responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing irrigation systems to ensure optimal watering for landscapes. This role involves troubleshooting system issues, programming irrigation controllers, and working with clients to achieve efficient water management solutions.

Requirements

  • Knowledge of irrigation systems, components, and installation techniques.
  • Experience with tools and equipment used for irrigation work.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints or system layouts.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Physical ability to perform outdoor labor in various weather conditions.
  • Excellent communication skills to work effectively with team members and clients.
  • Prior experience in irrigation or landscaping is preferred.

Nice To Haves

  • Proven experience in installing, maintaining, and repairing irrigation systems (preferred but not required).
  • Knowledge of irrigation system components, including valves, pipes, controllers, and sprinkler heads.
  • Familiarity with troubleshooting techniques to identify and resolve system malfunctions.
  • Ability to program and adjust irrigation controllers and timers.
  • Physical stamina to perform outdoor work, including digging and lifting, in various weather conditions.
  • Basic understanding of water conservation techniques and efficient irrigation practices.
  • Proficiency with tools and equipment used in irrigation system installation and repair.
  • Ability to read and interpret system blueprints, layouts, or schematics.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation to job sites (if required).
  • Certification/Licensed in irrigation technology.

Responsibilities

  • Install, test, and maintain irrigation systems, including sprinklers, drip systems, and timers.
  • Inspect and troubleshoot irrigation systems to identify leaks, clogs, or malfunctions.
  • Perform repairs and replacements of pipes, valves, controllers, and other system components.
  • Program and adjust irrigation controllers to ensure efficient water usage.
  • Collaborate with landscaping teams to integrate irrigation systems with overall designs.
  • Provide recommendations for system upgrades or water-saving solutions.
  • Maintain accurate records of work performed and materials used.
