About The Position

We are seeking a skilled and reliable Irrigation Technician to join our team. The Irrigation Technician is responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing irrigation systems to ensure optimal water distribution for landscapes, lawns, and agricultural areas. The ideal candidate will have experience with various irrigation systems, strong troubleshooting skills, and the ability to work efficiently in outdoor conditions.

Requirements

• Previous experience in irrigation system installation and maintenance preferred.
• Knowledge of different irrigation system types, including drip and sprinkler systems.
• Ability to read and interpret irrigation blueprints and schematics.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Basic knowledge of plumbing and electrical systems.
• Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently or in a team.
• Valid driver’s license.

Nice To Haves

• Certification in irrigation (e.g., IA Certified Irrigation Technician) is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Install, inspect, and maintain irrigation systems, including pipes, valves, sprinklers, timers, and controllers.
• Diagnose and repair irrigation system malfunctions such as leaks, clogs, and electrical issues.
• Perform routine system audits to ensure proper water coverage and efficiency.
• Adjust and program irrigation controllers to optimize water usage and meet seasonal requirements.
• Conduct backflow testing and ensure systems comply with local regulations.
• Collaborate with landscapers, property managers, and clients to assess irrigation needs.
• Operate and maintain tools, equipment, and vehicles used for irrigation work.
• Document all maintenance, repairs, and installations for record-keeping.
• Adhere to safety standards and environmental regulations.
