About The Position

The Landscaping Attendant ensures proper and consistent tending to gardens and grounds throughout the park. This position requires close contact with the public, the ability to work well with co-workers, and assists Santa’s guests in a safe, courteous and efficient manner.

Requirements

Must be 15 years of age or older
Must be able to exhibit all physical demands listed in this job description at any given time during shift
Must be flexible throughout season, with weekend availability
Must be able to work independently, with little daily supervision

Nice To Haves

Prior experience in weeding, planting, and gardening is preferred
Able to learn the proper way to dead head plants
Able to learn what is a weed to pull out of gardens
Must possess a courteous and friendly rapport with guests and co-workers
Have interpersonal/communication skills orally and in written language
Understand importance of wearing gloves, safety glasses

Responsibilities

Weeds and edges gardens
Dead head hangers
Take all removed plant material to compost pile
Water plants
Assists with planting flowers, shrubs, and trees as needed
Assists Landscaping Manager with Greenhouse duties as needed
Ensures safety of all employees and guests
Greets guests courteously and assists guests
Maintains a positive attitude
Arrives at work on time, in “good show,” and keeps neat and clean throughout the day
Other duties as assigned
