About The Position

This position is responsible for performing landscaping and grounds maintenance tasks. This includes mowing, pruning, planting, edging, cutting, and applying chemicals. The role also involves installing, repairing, and performing periodic maintenance on sprinkler and irrigation systems. The Landscaper will safely and effectively operate various lawn and ground maintenance equipment and properly apply chemicals such as fertilizers, herbicides, and pesticides. Planting grass, trees, flowers, and shrubs using gardening tools is also a key part of the job.

Requirements

Must be able to walk, stand, lift, carry, bend, kneel, crouch, and reach throughout shift.
Must be able to safely and effectively operate lawn mowers, weed trimmers, edgers, chainsaws, power trimmers, and other equipment, chemicals, and supplies used in lawn and grounds maintenance.
Must be able to perform duties in direct exposure to the weather which may include periods of extreme heat, cold, or inclement weather.
Must have excellent communication skills.
Must be able to obtain/maintain any necessary licenses and/or certifications.

Prior experience in a similar position preferred.

Responsibilities

Performing landscaping and grounds maintenance including but not limited to mowing, pruning, planting edging, cutting, and chemical applications.
Perform landscaping and grounds maintenance as prescribed or assigned.
Install, repair, and perform periodic maintenance to sprinkler and irrigation systems.
Safely and effectively operate lawn mower, weed trimmer, edger, chainsaw, power trimmer, and other equipment used in lawn and ground maintenance.
Safely and properly apply chemicals including but not limited to fertilizers, herbicides, and pesticides.
Plant grass, trees, flowers, and shrubs using gardening tools.
