About The Position

Landscape Superintendent Job Duties: Supervises, coordinates, and oversees landscape crews, reads landscape drawings, determines materials needed, determines workforce and jobsite needs, and communicates project timeline and changes to customers. In addition, may perform some landscape labor such as mowing, weed trimming, and raking or clean-up of leaves with blowers. Also, installation, pruning, and trimming of plants, trees, and shrubs. Placing and tilling dirt, mulch, compost, and sod. General landscape labor using landscape equipment for landscape installation and maintenance. Loading and unloading of materials and equipment. Lifting required up to 50 pounds. Work performed on local area jobsites with employer provided transportation to and from the jobsites from a centralized pickup location in the specified area of employment. 12 months of experience required. On the job training. No education required. Additional requirements: employer paid pre-hire drug test and criminal background check. $27.80 - $35.00/hr. based on experience and performance, and $41.70 - $52.50/hr. O.T. Employer will offer 40 hours/wk. of work w/1 hour of lunch each workday, 7:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m., M-F, Some O.T. and weekends may be available, but is not guaranteed. 2 position is available for temporary, full-time, peak-load work. The employer will use a single workweek for computing wages due. Pay will be weekly. Assistance securing lodging is available. Optional housing at approximately $400.00/month is available for relocating workers only. Other benefits provided to U.S. and H2B workers are the following: Optional health insurance, dental insurance, and vision available after 60 days. The employer will make all deductions required by law from each paycheck. Additional deductions included if selected minimal cost for optional health insurance $103.13/month ($25.78/wk.), dental insurance $33.50/month ($8.38/wk.), and vision $5.63/month ($1.30/wk.) If the worker completes 50% of the work contract period, employer will reimburse the worker for transportation and subsistence from the place of recruitment to the place of work. Upon completion of the work contract or where the worker is dismissed earlier, employer will provide or pay for workers reasonable costs of return transportation and subsistence back home or to the place the worker originally departed to work, except where the worker will not return due to subsequent employment with another employer. The amount of transportation payment or reimbursement will be equal to the most economical and reasonable common carrier for the distances involved. Daily subsistence will be provided at a rate of $16.28 per day during travel to a maximum of $68.00 per day with receipts. H2B workers will be reimbursed by check for visa and related fees in the first workweek. The employer will provide, without charge, all tools, supplies, and equipment required to perform the job duties. The employer guarantees to offer work for hours equal to at least ¾ of the workdays in each 12-week period of the total employment period.
