About The Position

The Maintenance Worker II – General is a position in the Facilities Management department. The position focuses on general maintenance and the caregiver may be assigned to work in a variety of areas of focus. The level II role demonstrates competency in a broad area of general maintenance. Essential Functions Performs routine to moderately complex maintenance tasks such as changing light bulbs, fixing leaky faucets, and repairing damaged walls or floors. Assists with the installation, repair, and maintenance of hospital equipment and systems. Responds to emergency maintenance requests and provides immediate assistance to resolve the issue. Works independently or under the supervision of a facilities management leader.

Requirements

  • Experience as a maintenance generalist or handyman is required.
  • Demonstrated abilities of the skills listed above
  • Willingness to work hard and to learn.
  • Some experience working in a healthcare setting
  • A valid drivers license may be required for this position.
  • Demonstrated ability to maintain a clean and safe work environment by following established safety procedures and protocols.
  • The ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Good communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to follow instructions.
