About The Position

As a Laborer you will provide landscape maintenance, landscape irrigation or landscape construction support to a variety of industrial, commercial, and/or public properties. Landscape maintenance, landscape irrigation or landscape construction support includes the safe operation of commercial grade landscaping equipment and upkeep of plant material and other landscaping elements.

Requirements

1+ years of commercial landscape maintenance experience required
Valid Texas driver's license

Responsibilities

Performs a variety of tasks involving manual labor in landscape, irrigation or construction projects.
Performs manual and machinery work in preparing surfaces for paving (Landscape Construction).
Maintains a clean job site: picks up all tools and equipment and secures job site each day to eliminate potential hazards.
Performs materials handling and storage.
Loads and unloads trucks and hauls and hoists materials.
Ensures that proper safety and incident reporting procedures are followed.
Cut turf using various sized power mowers, trimming, and edging using a gas-powered edger/trimmer, and operating a gas-powered blower.
Properly and safely prune shrubs and low trees as needed to improve the shape or growth habit or to remove damaged branches.
Lay sod, plant, mow, trim, dig, rake, prune, mulch, sprinkler installation, and load and unload materials.
Plant and maintain flower beds.
Properly and safely operate the edger and line trimmer along sidewalks, flower beds, trees, buildings, fences and other objects.
Pick up trash and blow leaves and other organic debris on to the turf before mowing. Mulch the leaves and organic matter when mowing.
Perform weeding by hand or using a garden hoe or hula hoe.
Maintain a polite, friendly, responsive demeanor with customers
Brings problems to the attention of the foreman, safety director or HR manager.
Must uphold company policies, procedures, and company core values at all times
Other duties as assigned.
