The Rubicon Maintenance Gardener - Level 2 works under the genenral supervision of the Maintenance Crew Leader, acting as a primary source of labor to perform various tasks related to the maintnenace of the landscaped grounds. This is a full-time, non-exempt position. Rubicon uses E- Verify to validate the eligibility of our new employees to work legally in the United States.

Requirements

Bend and/or kneel up to 10% of the time.
Lift, reach, carry, push, pull: up to 50 pounds and up to 50% of the time.
Stand, walk up to 90% of the time.
Must be able to work outside during all seasons of the year.
This position requires the use of a work vehicle; therfore, proff of a valid and current CA driver license and an acceptable Motor Vehicle Report are required.

Responsibilities

Plant flowers, shrubs, ground covers and other plant materials; grade, seed, and fertilize.
Prune and shape shrubs, naturally and formally; stake and tie trees and shrubs.
Mow lawns, trim hedges and remove weeds, debris and other materials from job sites.
Manually water lawns, shrubs, ground covers and flowers; make irrigation adjustments.
Vehicles and equipment: Help clean and prepare vehicles for the next service day; inspect and maintain equipment (including lubricating as needed) before use to ensure proper usage operation; report problems to the Crew Leader or Supervisor.
General Safety: Report unsafe work conditions or practices to the Crew Leader and/or Supervisor immediately upon discovery.
Other duties as assigned.
