About The Position

The Landscape Maintenance Account Manager-Residential serves as the primary liaison between clients and the operations team. This role manages client relationships, ensures service quality, and oversees the financial performance of assigned accounts. The Residential Account Manager is responsible for property inspections, enhancement sales, contract renewals, and delivering exceptional customer service that builds long-term partnerships. We offer an annual salary of $80,000 to $85,000, bonus incentive, retirement/401K plan, as well as health, dental & vision coverage, paid time off, and a positive and collaborative work environment.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Horticulture, Landscape Management, Business, or related field (or equivalent accreditation).
  • 3–5 years of experience in landscape account management or related customer service roles.
  • In-depth horticultural knowledge with expertise in landscape maintenance best practices.
  • Success overseeing landscape crews and ensuring site safety compliance.
  • Strong understanding of service economics, labor efficiency, and field productivity metrics.
  • Exceptional communication, organizational, leadership, and client relationship management skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and Aspire software preferred.
  • Experienced managing multiple client accounts, budgets, and service deliverables simultaneously.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in English and Spanish preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned clients, ensuring proactive communication, timely follow-up, and effective service solutions that strengthen relationships and drive satisfaction.
  • Lead and aggressively drive new client acquisition by proactively identifying, cultivating, and converting high-value opportunities, building a robust revenue pipeline that fuels sustained, long-term growth.
  • Work collaboratively with Production Managers to coordinate maintenance schedules, work plans, and service quality to ensure operations consistently meet or exceed client expectations.
  • Conduct regular site audits to evaluate landscape quality, identify enhancement opportunities, and document findings in Aspire to maintain accountability and continuous improvement.
  • Address client concerns promptly and professionally using the H.E.A.R.D. service recovery model (Hear, Empathize, Apologize, Resolve, Diagnose), ensuring positive outcomes and sustained trust.
  • Oversee financial performance by monitoring budgets, tracking job costs, and managing account profitability. Prepare and present enhancement and renewal proposals that support client goals and business growth.
  • Develop and deliver professional proposals for enhancements and contract renewals, providing timely follow-up within 24 hours and identifying opportunities for service expansion.
  • Maintain accurate client records, KPI reports, and other administrative documentation. Participate in leadership and strategic planning meetings to support operational excellence and organizational success.
