About The Position

At John Mini, we make places beautiful. The John Mini team is a leader in indoor and outdoor landscaping as well as holiday design. We design, install, and maintain landscapes all over the tri-state area of New York, New Jersey, and Connecticut. We are hiring a Landscape Estimator! This position is responsible for take-offs and estimating project costs of Indoor & Outdoor projects. This position will be based out of our Congers, NY (Rockland County) headquarters, but candidates must be willing to travel into New York City for appointments.

Responsibilities

• Develop project cost estimates including labor, materials, equipment and subcontractors
• Analyze designs/plans provided to complete take-offs for estimating and pricing purposes
• Work with subcontractors and suppliers to determine project costs
• Attend pre-construction meetings to understand the logistics and scope of work to be completed as well as the progress of the estimating process.
• Assist Sales/Exterior AM’s with project presentation to clients when necessary
• Calculate Change Orders associated with a project
• Coordinate & plan to hand off of all landscape installation projects with Exterior Purchasing and Exterior Installations
