MSG is seeking a full-time Landscape Designer to join our Civil Engineering team in Cincinnati, OH. Projects could include site design for commercial and residential projects; design of parks & recreation facilities, designs for municipal facilities such as streetscapes, parking facilities, and municipal buildings in urban, suburban, and rural environments.

  • Work in conjunction with other licensed engineers on design and preparation of a variety of commercial, industrial, residential, energy and community projects throughout the Midwest.
  • Coordinate with fellow MSG staff across a variety of services sectors including: Surveying, Environmental, Geotechnical, Structural, Traffic, Transportation, MEP, Site Construction, etc.
  • Engage with clients and stakeholders to understand project goals and present design solutions.
  • Contribute to proposal writing and project marketing efforts, as needed.
  • Conduct site analysis, research local codes, and assist in project permitting.
  • Assist in the design and development of site plans, landscape plans, grading plans and illustrative graphics for parks, streetscapes, trail systems, civic spaces, and commercial developments.
  • Support all phases of project development, including conceptual design, construction documentation, and project administration.
  • Bachelors or higher in Landscape Architecture.
  • At least 4 years of related experience.
  • PLA licensure in the state of Ohio or ability to obtain PLA within 1 year of hire required.
  • Experience with AutoCAD/Civil 3D, HydroCAD, LandFX, Adobe suite, SketchUp or other modeling programs required.
  • Experience in design and plan preparations.
  • Strong graphic, written, and verbal communication skills.
