About The Position

Overview: Develop innovative outdoor spaces that balance aesthetics, functionality, and sustainability at HGA! Landscape Designer - Minneapolis, MN You’ll collaborate with architects, engineers, and clients to bring landscapes to life—from concept through construction. In this role you will: provide the Landscape Architecture Department with design, graphic and production support; work within a project team to execute a designated phase of selected project in a manner that is responsive to the client’s needs and deadlines consistent with HGA procedures, standards and quality expectations; compile and analyze data on site conditions such as geographic location, soil, vegetation, and natural features; drainage and location of structures; develop design concepts according to parameters defined by the project team; prepare site plans, construction drawings, specifications and cost estimates for land development, showing grading contours, vegetation and location of structures and facilities; maintain ongoing communication to understand any project changes, design issues or time/budget constraints that may impact initial assignment; and make an on-going effort to demonstrate competency in landscape architecture with the goal of achieving Landscape Architecture licensure.

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Landscape Architecture, Environmental Design, or related field.required, Master preferred
  • 2+ years of professional experience in landscape design or architecture
  • Working toward licensure (LARE)
  • Experience with Revit; strong knowledge of AutoCAD, SketchUp, Adobe and Microsoft Office Suites required
  • Strong graphic and visual communication skills
  • Knowledge of plants, sustainable design practices, and site grading
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Desire to learn and collaborate in a high energy environment

Responsibilities
