About The Position

Supports Transmission Vegetation Management projects across Connecticut, Massachusetts, and New Hampshire. Assists in planning and implementing landscape mitigation efforts, primarily involving compatible plantings along company rights-of-way and around abutting property owner landscapes. Works under guidance to ensure projects are completed on time, within scope, and in compliance with company standards and regulations. Essential Functions: Utilizes system and scheduling techniques, practices and criteria to develop, maintain, analyze, and evaluate best mitigation efforts for the company and property owners. Conduct site visits with clients to assess environmental conditions and gather design requirements. Provide expert guidance on plant selection (prefer native/naturalized) based on specific site conditions (soil type, moisture levels, sun exposure, etc.). Create and present landscape designs using plants that are compatible with company specifications and may promote wildlife attraction, soil health, and water conservation. Collaborate directly with clients to refine designs and ensure they meet aesthetic and functional goals. Deliver design drafts and revisions in a timely manner. Manage project scheduling, crew assignments, and coordination to ensure all activities are completed safely, on time, within budget, to Eversource specification and adhere to all federal, state, and local laws, regulations, and best management practices (BMP). Attend kick-off meetings with contractors to review the scope of work, contract requirements, and schedule. Coordinate and collaborate with company Arborists and property owners to understand their requirements and preferences and develop designs and plans. Engage directly with contractors and field workers to understand their needs and facilitate resources, ensuring efficient job execution. Provide landscape management oversight to manage and coordinate workers to address punch list items and ensure all landscaping is completed as agreed to. Process and sign-off completed vendor projects to company specifications.

Requirements

  • Ability to develop compatible landscape designs to scale, spreadsheets, databases and demonstrate the capability to transfer data between various Eversource applications and platforms.
  • Demonstrated ability to investigate and solve problems, analyze data, draft effective reports, and make presentations.
  • Possess the ability to cope with deadlines, manage time, set, and manage priorities, define roles and responsibilities, and make decisions.
  • The ability to schedule, plan and manage numerous transmission vegetation mitigation projects concurrently.
  • Bachelor’s degree in landscape architecture, arboriculture, related field or equivalent experience.
  • Three (3) to five (5) years or more of proven experience.
  • Experience in landscape design and project management.
  • Valid Motor Vehicle Operator’s License is required.

Nice To Haves

  • Certified Landscape Designer (preferred).
  • Pesticide Applicator’s license (preferred).
  • Arborist credential (preferred).
