Requirements

  • Foundational experience with relevant drafting/design software, such as AutoCAD, Microsoft Office Suite, and Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop/InDesign). Experience with LandFX, SketchUp, Revit, Lumion, or Rhino would be considered an asset.
  • Ability to engage and work within a creative and multi-discipline design practice with an interest in holistic design, systems thinking, construction, materials, sustainability, and technical design detailing.
  • Valid driver's license and willingness to engage with occasional field work/site visits.
  • Strong time management, critical thinking, organizational skills, a positive attitude, and a collaborative team spirit.
  • Curious about the world and a drive to continue learning and developing your expertise.
  • Strong visual, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Landscape Architecture from an accredited university, or an equivalent combination of education and related experience.
  • 0-5 years of relevant experience. Previous intern or professional experience in landscape design, construction, or urban development-related roles would be considered an asset.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with LandFX, SketchUp, Revit, Lumion, or Rhino would be considered an asset.
  • Regional and Florida plant knowledge would be considered an asset but is not required.

Responsibilities

  • Apply landscape design principles including site analysis, theming, schematic design, and design development.
  • Assist in preparing project documentation across all design phases (e.g., graphics, grading, paving, structures, lighting, planting, irrigation, and layout).
  • Support the creative process through sketches, models, diagrams, and other visual formats.
  • Learn and contribute to planting design through concept development and planning.
  • Prepare and coordinate technical drawings and documentation.
  • Participate in construction administration, including site visits, meetings, and drawing revisions.
  • Conduct due diligence and research to support project development.
  • Develop technical and software skills for producing design exhibits and working drawings.
  • Perform related duties within the scope of Landscape Architecture as assigned.
