About The Position

The Landscape Designer at Woodside Development is responsible for providing landscape design consultation under the guidance of the Landscape Manager. This role involves creating detailed landscape plans, preparing cost estimates, conducting research, and collaborating with clients and team members to ensure aesthetically pleasing and functional outdoor spaces for both residential and commercial properties.

Requirements

• Strong background in horticulture and knowledge of plant types suitable for the local environment.
• Understanding of art principles including color theory, texture, and balance.
• Ability to sketch and draw landscape designs, both by hand and using computer software.
• Knowledge of ecological conditions affecting landscape design.
• Familiarity with laws and codes related to landscaping in specific areas.
• Experience with grading, slopes, and storm water management in landscape plans.
• Knowledge of maintenance, repair, and construction methods for landscaping and irrigation systems.
• Understanding of safety precautions in landscaping and tool operation.

Nice To Haves

• Experience in public speaking and making presentations.
• Familiarity with landscape maintenance and construction specifications.

Responsibilities
