About The Position

Zamia Design is seeking a Landscape Designer / Landscape Architect to join our small Design-Build firm in Gainesville, FL. This role focuses primarily on planting design while also managing various aspects of residential projects, including client interactions, design development, project take-offs, cost estimating, and overseeing the installation process. The successful candidate will contribute to creating beautiful, wildlife-supporting landscapes using Florida Native plants, supported by our Landscape Care Program.

Requirements

• 2 years of experience in Landscape Design.
• Knowledge of local plants and design experience.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Microsoft Excel, and Microsoft Word.
• A degree in Horticulture, Landscape Architecture, or Landscape Design is highly desirable but not mandatory.

Nice To Haves

• Experience with wildlife-supporting landscapes.
• Familiarity with Florida Native plants.

Responsibilities

• Work with clients to develop landscape designs.
