Timmons Group is currently seeking a Landscape Designer II/III in our Raleigh, NC office. Our award-winning landscape architecture and land planning team offers an extensive range of services for commercial, mixed-use, parks and open space, energy and renewables, campus and institution, multi-family, and government clients across multiple markets. Essential Roles and Responsibilities of a successful candidate include but are not limited to: Design and Technical Production (80-90%) Collaborate with project managers and team members on a variety of project types and scales. Assist project teams with development of landscape plans through all phases of work including site inventory, concept design, schematic design, design development, and construction documents. Prepare illustrative design plans and 3D renderings as needed. Assist teams in preparing construction cost estimates. Assist teams in preparing specifications. Communicate with internal engineering teams and other disciplines as directed by project manager. Communicate with external vendors throughout the design process. Participate in construction administration responsibilities. Act as an advocate for landscape architecture at Timmons Group. Project and Task Management (10-15%) Assist in managing internal project tasks led by civil engineering teams that include landscape design. Provide QA/QC from concept to documentation. Work closely with project managers to maintain project deadlines, budgets, milestones, deliverables, and communicate this information to team members. Act as a mentor for design staff and advocate for landscape architecture at Timmons Group. Administrative Management and Training (10-15%) Attend weekly meetings to coordinate projects and workplans. Attend monthly design team meetings and act as a design resource for projects and department standards. Develop proposals and development of scope of work as needed. Engage in training and professional development opportunities.
