Job Summary: Maldonado Nursery & Landscaping is seeking a creative and detail-oriented Design Assistant to support our residential Design/Build team. This part-time role is ideal for a motivated individual with a passion for landscape design who can help reduce lead time on designs and increase output on proposals and sales.
Requirements
- 1+ years of landscape design experience
- Students majoring in Landscape Architecture, Horticulture, or similar fields are encouraged to apply
- This is a full-time role. Hours revolve around M-F 8AM-5PM.
Responsibilities
- Assist the design team in developing landscape designs for residential clients, including conceptual drawings, planting plans, and hardscape layouts.
- Utilize design software such as CAD or similar tools to create detailed plans and visual presentations.
- Collaborate with the sales team to prepare proposals and presentation materials for client meetings.
- Support the preparation of cost estimates, material lists, and bid packages.
- Conduct site visits to gather measurements, photos, and relevant data for design development.
- Assist in maintaining organized project files and documentation to ensure efficient project workflow.
- Research plants, materials, and design trends to support innovative design solutions.
- Provide administrative support as needed, including scheduling, client communications, and file management
