About The Position

The position involves working outdoors in various conditions, including extreme heat, cold, rain, and snow. The role requires physical stamina, including the ability to lift up to 80 lbs, stand for extended periods, and walk throughout the day. Employees must maintain a driving record that meets company insurance requirements and be available for snow operations during the off-season. Adherence to company safety standards and operational procedures is mandatory. Responsibilities may expand as needed at the discretion of Green View managers.

Requirements

  • Must be able to work in various outdoor conditions, including extreme heat, cold, rain, and snow.
  • Capable of lifting up to 80 lbs and performing physically demanding tasks.
  • Able to stand for extended periods and walk throughout the day.
  • Must maintain a driving record that meets company insurance requirements.
  • Required to be available during the off-season for snow operations.
  • Must adhere to all company safety standards, operational procedures, and policy guidelines.

Responsibilities

  • Perform pre-operation inspections on all hand tools, wheelbarrows, small power tools, and heavy equipment.
  • Load and unload materials, efficiently organizing materials on trucks and directing laborers in proper staging and transportation.
  • Maintain cleanliness of trucks, tools, and facilities through daily housekeeping, equipment washing, and tool sharpening.
  • Check and replenish fluids on equipment daily.
  • Oversee and direct all equipment usage on large-scale or multi-phase job sites.
  • Oversee planting of annuals, perennials, shrubs, and trees.
  • Lead and execute landscape construction projects, including grading, excavation, and installation of patios, walkways, driveways, retaining walls, and landscape timber walls.
  • Perform specialized masonry construction, including mortared brick walls and free-standing stone walls.
  • Manage and direct laborers in performing tasks with minimal supervision.
  • Supervise multiple jobs on a single site.
  • Plan and coordinate material orders and deliveries.
  • Serve as the primary field liaison for clients.
  • Recruit and select laborers by participating in interviews and hiring decisions.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, developing landscape projects from conceptual drawings.
  • Communicate daily with salespersons to provide progress updates.
  • Lead and train crew members in construction techniques.
  • Complete and oversee daily paperwork, ensuring accurate documentation.
  • Follow and enforce all safety policies.
  • Maintain an organized and safe job site.
  • Obtain and retain a C-Class or CDL license.
  • Consistently meet or exceed company benchmarks for efficiency and customer satisfaction.
