Russell Landscape is on the hunt for a driven and relationship-oriented Commercial Landscape Business Developer to help grow our presence across the greater Raleigh area. We’re looking for someone local. Someone who knows the market, knows the people, and is eager to build something. Without sales, we don’t have an operation—it’s that simple. This is a critical role for our team, and we’re ready to invest in the right person and make sure they’re set up for success through our updated onboarding process. Whether you're already in commercial landscaping or come from construction, property services, facility management, or B2B sales in a related field, we want to talk to you. This is a high-impact, boots-on-the-ground sales role that requires hustle, confidence, and relationship-building skills. Requirements

  • 3+ years of successful B2B sales experience (landscaping, construction, building services, outdoor services, or related industries preferred).
  • A proven track record of hitting or exceeding sales goals.
  • Familiarity with the Raleigh commercial property market and how buying decisions are made locally.
  • Strong communication skills—you know how to turn services into clear value.
  • Comfortable using CRM systems, Microsoft Office, and mobile tools to stay organized.
  • A valid driver’s license and reliable transportation for site visits.
  • Most importantly: you’re local, motivated, and eager to grow.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in landscaping, horticulture, construction, or property management sales.
  • An existing book of business or strong local network in the Raleigh area.
  • Ability to read site plans or construction drawings.

Responsibilities

  • Proactively identify, qualify, and win new commercial landscape maintenance and enhancement accounts through networking, prospecting, referrals, and cold calling
  • Create and execute a sales plan to hit (and exceed) revenue goals.
  • Build long-term partnerships with property managers, developers, general contractors, HOA boards, and commercial property owners throughout the Raleigh market.
  • Conduct in-person site visits to understand client needs and develop customized proposals.
  • Work closely with our operations and production teams to ensure smooth transitions and top-tier service delivery.
  • Represent Russell Landscape professionally at meetings, walkthroughs, and industry events.
  • Keep your pipeline organized and up to date in our CRM.
