About The Position

We are currently seeking an experienced, licensed Landscape Architect to lead and grow our Landscape Architecture group in Federal Way, WA. Successful candidates will have the ability to lead a team and to assist with and lead design projects within a collaborative and interdisciplinary team environment. We are seeking candidates with demonstrated experience in handling a range of project types from public works to private development. The position involves managing staff, consultants, and projects from concept through construction with a focus on quality design and user experience. Responsibilities include development of site analysis and programming, concept design development, illustrative graphics, client and stakeholder presentations, and preparation of construction documents.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 7+ years of work experience as a Landscape Architect.
  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Landscape Architecture.
  • Current license as a Landscape Architect.
  • Experience in creative visioning, AutoCAD, and office software.
  • Demonstrated success in working independently to meet deadlines.
  • Ability to maintain effective working relationships with various stakeholders.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee scopes, budgets, schedules, and project support staff.
  • Prepare detailed construction plans and specifications.
  • Provide design services during construction.
  • Support a collaborative interdisciplinary team environment.
  • Prepare site plans, specifications, and cost estimates for development.
  • Manage illustrative exhibits for project proposals and public presentations.
  • Communicate design concepts and technical information to clients and stakeholders.
  • Compile and analyze data on conditions for environmental impact and landscaping plans.
  • Lead planning, site design, irrigation, and planting design.
  • Perform physical on-site observation and inspection of construction projects.
  • Review and interpret plans, site layouts, and specifications.
  • Support business development and assist with proposal writing.
  • Utilize electronic recording, reporting, and job specific tools.
