Dewberry is currently seeking a Landscape Architect to join our Charlotte, NC office to work on a variety of projects for public and private clients. Typical projects involve site/civil design for residential, mixed-use, commercial and industrial site development, and capital improvement projects. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Landscape Architecture or Urban Planning.
  • 3+ years of experience in landscape architecture.
  • Registered Landscape Architect preferred but not required.
  • Strong freehand illustration and rendering skills.
  • Experience with Photoshop, InDesign, Sketchup, GIS/ArcView and Power Point.
  • Experience with AutoCAD Civil 3D and Microsoft Office is required.
  • Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a team environment.
  • Portfolio or work samples will be required if considered for an interview.

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with storm water design.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare site construction documents for public and private projects, including parks and recreation, education, commercial/retail and single family.
  • Prepare development plans to support Rezoning and/or Special Exception applications.
  • Assist with conducting public meetings and workshops.
  • Site/civil development including construction site plans, grading design, storm water management systems design, landscaping, erosion and sediment control design, and construction details using Civil 3D.
  • Conduct code research, write specifications, and coordinate permitting.
