About The Position

Charleston Grounds Management is a leader in Commercial Landscape Maintenance, Enhancements, Irrigation, Chemical, and Aquatic Services across the Charleston area. We are seeking an experienced full Landscape Account Manager with a strong background in the commercial landscape industry to manage client relationships, drive growth, and ensure high-quality performance across assigned properties. This is a hands-on, field-focused role that blends customer service, operations, and sales. The ideal candidate is proactive, detail-oriented, and comfortable working directly with clients, crews, and internal leadership to deliver consistent results. The Landscape Account Manager is responsible for managing commercial client relationships, overseeing property performance, and driving enhancement and service growth by coordinating field operations, training, budgets, and customer communication to ensure consistent, high-quality results.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience in commercial landscape account management, sales, or business development
  • Working knowledge of landscape maintenance practices, enhancements, irrigation systems, chemical programs, and aquatics
  • Personality Test (Winslow) Required for position alignment
  • Strong communication, organization, and customer service skills
  • Ability to manage multiple properties and priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Proven ability to lead and train crews in the field
  • Proficiency with Aspire CRM and Microsoft Office
  • A self-motivated, accountable professional who takes ownership of their accounts
  • Valid driver’s license required (must be able to be insured)

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned commercial accounts, building strong, long-term client relationships
  • Perform routine (daily/weekly) property walks and site audits to ensure quality standards are met, identify deficiencies, and proactively address concerns
  • Seasonal adjustment of irrigation
  • Perform basic landscape tasks as needed to ensure job training and quality standard are met
  • Perform basic plant and turf healthcare as needed
  • Identify and develop enhancement opportunities including landscape improvements, irrigation repairs/upgrades, chemical applications, and seasonal services
  • Prepare, price, and present clear, professional proposals while following company margin and budget expectations
  • Coordinate and Train assigned Crew Foreman and other team members
  • Ensure all crew foreman and other team members are fully trained on how to safely use the equipment assigned – this can include daily training as needed
  • Ensure all crew foreman and other team members understand and adhere to all job assignments and quality standards – reviewing maps and to dos daily is a must to ensure standards are met
  • Monitor labor hours, materials, job costs, and profitability using Aspire and related systems
  • Lead client meetings, manage contracts, assist with renewals, and support retention and upselling efforts
  • Respond promptly and professionally to client communication, resolving issues efficiently and maintaining high satisfaction
  • Document site conditions, service notes, and follow-ups accurately within company software systems
