About The Position

Waste Connections is looking for a safety conscience Landfill Laborer to join our team in Harper, Kansas. PAY: $19 per hour working around 50 hours a week. Every hour after 40 is paid overtime. Requirements

• Ability to adhere to Company policies and rules that are set forth; promotes the Company’s safety standards; work with a sense of honesty, integrity and trustworthiness.
• Ability to adhere to work schedule and follow through on challenges as they arise.
• One year of stable employment history in a similar environment.

Responsibilities

• Checking trucks in and out of the landfill and directing traffic at site as necessary.
• Manual labor including paper picking, keeping landfill clean and presentable.
• Perform yard work including cutting weeds.
• Install temporary wind fences as required.
• Perform general office maintenance and repairs including painting and janitorial work.
• Operating support equipment.
• Working outside in all weather conditions.
• Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.
