As a Land Technician Sr, you will serve as a subject matter expert on upstream land related initiatives that require broad and deep knowledge of land operations. In this role, you will be involved in complex land tasks, ensuring that our land dealings are executed professionally and efficiently. Requirements

  • High School Diploma/GED and a minimum of five (5) years of experience as a land technician or in a closely related land role
  • Demonstrates excellent organizational/interpersonal skills and safety as the utmost priority
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Application and PC skills
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and financial skills
  • Excellent level of accuracy and attention to detail in all aspects of work

Nice To Haves

  • Associates with three (3) years of land technician experience or closely related land role
  • Bachelors with two (2) year of land technician experience or closely related land role
  • Professional certification in land or energy management
  • Experience leading and managing multiple land projects

Responsibilities

  • Prepares and /or assists in the preparation of complex land documents, contracts, and correspondence overseeing the full lifecycle from drafting to execution of critical agreements
  • Prepares and formats supporting documents for various land projects, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and proper approvals
  • Review invoices for accuracy and appropriateness, code to appropriate AFE and circulate for approvals, troubleshoot and solve problems related to invoices and coding
  • Review title and lease issue matters, addressing curative matters and ownership defects
  • Prepares and reviews detailed documents and exhibits for State and Federal regulatory filings, coordinating closely with regulatory agencies to meet all requirements and deadlines
  • Reviews land records to ensure compliance with internal policies and external regulations, including obtaining all necessary approvals and notarizations for legal filings
  • Processes requests to set up and maintain working interest and net revenue decimals, change operators and update well statuses.
  • Provides broad support to Land, Land Administration, and Regulatory teams, including administrative functions not limited to mail, document preparation and management, travel arrangements and other logistical needs.
  • Assists with research and special projects
  • Other duties as assigned
