About The Position
GeoPoint is a land surveying firm with multiple locations, specializing in land development, remote sensing, energy, geospatial mapping, commercial surveys, and subsurface utility engineering. The Land Survey Project Manager plays a crucial role in overseeing various types of surveys including Boundary Surveys, ALTA/NSPS Land Title Surveys, Topographic Surveys, and Construction Staking & As-Built surveys. This position involves preparing Subdivision Plats and Legal Descriptions, conducting public record research, and performing calculations to resolve property boundaries and rights of way. The Project Manager will also review the work of survey technicians and manage projects of varying sizes, ensuring that all aspects of the survey process are executed efficiently and accurately. In this role, you will be responsible for coordinating with clients, crews, and technicians to establish project responsibilities and priorities. You will also work closely with other discipline leads to meet scheduling objectives and project milestones. Daily responsibilities will be assigned to survey field crews and office technicians, and you will perform boundary analysis for large-scale sectionalized land surveys. Additionally, you will sign and seal surveys, maps, and related documents, while ensuring quality control throughout the survey field activities and preliminary project deliverables. The position may require occasional fieldwork, where you will ensure that equipment is maintained, repaired, and calibrated as needed. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical skills, particularly with AutoCAD Civil3D, and have experience with aerial or mobile LiDAR platforms and software. Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage large-scale private sector survey projects are essential for success in this role.
