About The Position
Langan is seeking a Land Survey Intern or Co-op to join its collaborative team in Dallas or Austin, TX. This individual will serve a key function in providing support to the Land Survey team in the collection of field data and information related to the preparation of survey maps and CAD files. In this role, you will have the opportunity to gain exposure to a variety of progressive technologies as you work directly with an experienced and dynamic team of survey professionals and interact with technical specialists in other disciplines. The position is designed for students actively pursuing a degree in Engineering Technology, Survey, or Civil Engineering, providing a hands-on experience that fosters career growth and development within the field of land surveying. As part of the Langan team, you will support the survey crew in the collection of site and utility information, gaining exposure to drone and scanning technologies. You will be involved in preparing technical reports, survey plans, and layout plans for various projects, including utility construction, road and parking layout, and site improvements. Additionally, you will perform construction layout and assist with office tasks such as CAD drafting, data download, deed and map research, and filing. Maintaining survey equipment and initiating repairs when necessary will also be part of your responsibilities. To ensure you remain current on surveying practices, guidelines, and best practices, you will attend internal training sessions to expand your knowledge and skills. This internship or co-op position is an excellent opportunity to gain practical experience in the field of land surveying while contributing to meaningful projects.
