A. Morton Thomas, LLC (AMT) is hiring a Land Survey Field Technician to work based out of our office in Rockville, MD. This position requires NO previous survey experience. Requirements

• High School Diploma
• 0-1 years of experience
• Basic knowledge of field surveying procedures desired but not mandatory
• Interpersonal skills to interface effectively with team members
• Positive attitude and professional bearing
• Demonstrated ability to learn new tasks and develop personally and professionally
• Must be service oriented and be excited to work in a team environment
• Valid Driver’s License

Nice To Haves

• Certified Survey Technician
• Associates Degree
• Bachelors in Land Surveying or GIS preferred

Responsibilities

• Perform field survey activities to support the survey crew chief
• Operate survey instruments, levels, GPS, iPad, and data collector
• Open and investigate utility manholes
• Set survey points with sledgehammer
• Set survey points on construction sites
• Stock survey supplies in survey vehicle
• Perform daily field survey activities as directed by the survey crew chief
