BH2M is seeking a Land Surveyor Department Manager to be responsible for the direct oversight and management of field and office work for various types of survey and engineering related projects. Requirements

  • Minimum of 8 years of progressively responsible surveying/management experience
  • Professional Land Surveyor license in the State of Maine is required
  • Experience performing boundary surveys, ALTA/NSPS surveys, FEMA surveys, topographic surveys and construction layout
  • Expertise with GPS and Robotic survey equipment
  • Experience with AutoCAD software (Civil 3D experience preferred)
  • Driver’s license and the ability to travel on an as-needed basis
  • Ability to work onsite in the Gorham, Maine office

Responsibilities

  • Oversight, management, and scheduling of survey field crews
  • Perform preliminary research in the office through the Registry of Deeds in preparation for the survey projects
  • Compute land survey boundaries and prepare staking files for construction layout projects
  • Preparation and review of plats of survey including topographic surveys, boundary surveys, subdivisions, and ALTA surveys
  • Effectively communicate survey results to clients and project managers
  • Organization and management of survey records and files
  • Assist with the preparation of budgets and proposals
